Finally, the real CAMERA PHONE

Amazing invention from our Korea Electronic Giant. The real Digital Camera + Mobile phone is finally in the market. (Only in Korea market, LOL)
This baby is equip with 12M camera with 3x optical zoom. Where by the conventional camera phone in the market do not have this capability. (Look at the lens coming out from the phone!) It really is like a camera from the appearance as it have the shuttle click and the mode dial! Additional from that, it has 2 dial and close dial button on it. It also appear with a capacitive touch screen! I can't wait to own this baby! (they plan to appear in global market soon)

Imagine you can bring only 1 device out which can serve multiple functions! A real digital camera with good photo quality (better than normal camera phone), a mobile phone with capacitive touch screen ability (like the iPhone where pressure on the screen is unnecessary), video + mp3 player and WIFI along with the move. This is what I've been dreaming and wanting for very very long and finally SAMSUNG make it real.

In the near future, I believe Canon, Nikon, Olympus will conquer the handphone market as well. They might invent on their own or maybe they'll tag along with the existing mobile phone maker giants such as Nokia, HTC and maybe even Apple. So don't be supprise in the near future that you'll hear HTC-Canon (HTCanon?), Nikon-Nokia (Nikia?) or Apple-Olympus (iLympus?) in the market.

Getting a car to work? Neh...

Today is my 1st day of taking a cab to work. I never experience the road traffic condition on working day before. Here are my findings.

1. Normally, I take MRT and company shuttle bus to work. The total time taken from my place to company shuttle bus pick up point is about 30 minutes (including my journey walking to MRT station). From the pick up point to company takes about 10 minutes. So in total, 40 minutes to reach MRT. Price - $1.05

2. Cab pick me up at 8.00am this morning. Guess what? I need 50 minutes to reach company and it cost about $20++!!! Maybe the traffic slow down by the rain this morning, but I still can't accept it. Taking own transport is even slower than public transport!

Bithday trading

I like to thanks to all of my colleagues and friends yesterday for having a small yet wonderful birthday party with me in today post. I'm so touch by them. Especially the gifts I received from two parties are so meaningful to me. Not to forget, all the messages that flood into my handphone yesterday from many of my friends too. All of them are far apart from me and unable to meet up with me. I really appreciate that they still remember my birthday. :D

Yesterday US stock rallied again. Many stocks are excited at the early US morning but ended lower than opening at the end. However there are some stocks gain momentum after lunch especially most of the financial stocks. I think the focus will be on US financial stocks tonight and I will keep a close look on them.
Thanks to H1N1, many chemical and biochemical firm surge in few days. The recent released of H1N1 vaccine really push up a lot of these firms and companies.
"BEAR" in mind, the trades volume are losing compare to the bull run earlier. Becareful for the sudden change although I do hope the next correction will not come. :p

Lessons in share trading

My lesson to share in share market trading (being burnt lately):

Lesson 1: Never trade a sudden volume spike stock. Never follow the green volume spike unless it's CERTAIN and CONFIRMED. Else, will be like me getting stuck in the share. If don't want to get stuck, then cut lost.

Lesson 2: Never trade dead stock. (what does dead stock mean? no trading or traded in a pathetic low volume stock. If there's a sudden volume spike, refer to lesson 1). Once you get in, probable you can't get out.

Lesson 3: Never trade beyond your purchasing limit. Although you can buy shares at beyond your own personal credit limit and gain a lot more $ by contra them (trade in between 4 days without paying single cents), you are exposing yourself in greater lost as well because you do not have the buying power to pick up the shares if something goes wrong (If you happen to face the Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 situation, then you'll know how painful it is).

Lesson 4: Greed do come with a price to pay. You can be greed IF and ONLY IF it is certain that the share will rise even higher than your expectation.

Will update more!!! Or do share with all of us if you have more comment.

Buy Your Future Today

Reminding for all the guys and gals, this month of September will be your another chance to enter the market and pick up some good stocks. Buy them in this month and you'll be glad at the end of the year or maybe 3 years later you'll be amazed that your stocks have gained more then triple. Pick up any US market hot and cheap stocks this month. When the market is in bloody red, don't hesitate and don't fear that you can't get the lowest price. We can't always get the lowest price however the price you are getting this month definitely will be the best price over the next 3 months.
There are a few good and hot stocks recommended by myself for you guys to buy in. They are cheap and yet fundamentally strong.
- Citigroup Inc (C)
- CIT group Inc (CIT)
- AIG (AIG)
- Las Vegas Sand Corp (LVS)
- MGM Mirage (MGM)
- Sirius XM Radio Inc (SIRI)
- Ambac Financial group Inc (ABK)

Do have a look into these stocks as they have the potential to grow into a few times bigger (hopefully I'm right and everyone can make profit from these).

Final Destination!

Just back from watching the Final Destination 4 from the theater. The story line that use from 1 to 3 are plane crash, road accident and the roller-coaster collapse. Now, for the Final Destination 4, the story begins from escaping the death from an car racing incident.

Does this movie appear in the right time or wrong time? Especially at the month of September where the Singapore F1 race is going to kick off too. After watching the movie, the tragedy happen in the movie so horrifying that people might not want to buy tickets to watch the live race. More over, the fences and barricades are build for temporary purposes and its definitely not good enough compare to the permanent race track. (hopefully I'm wrong!) However, this movie sparks that viewers safety is a very important and need to be fully taken care of. Hopefully, after this movie, they'll improve or take extra precautions on both the drivers and the viewers safety and hence minimize accident happen. Or else, history will repeat itself like last year Ferrari team accident.

As for me, I'm not really a F1 fans and probably I'll just stay home and watch it live from TV.

$500 for 1 year warranty!

I've bought DELL laptop on March last year. Using it until early January this year, the laptop graphic card started to have problem. So, they replace the whole motherboard for me on the February as it is still under warranty.
1 Month later, another problem arise. The LCD screen unable to turn on when the laptop is power up. The whole mother board still running and I still can hear the Windows log in tone. Intermittently, I'm able to power the LCD but most of the time, I failed.
So, I called the DELL service center and they diagnosed that the LCD and LCD cables are the root of the problem. They claimed that its not the graphic card problems and refuse to repair for me again. Since I'm out of warranty, they said that I need to renew the warranty by paying SGD$500 for a 1 year extend warranty + repairing fee. It's $500!!! just to extend another year of warranty. If I do not pay, they will not help me fix the LCD cables. Currently, the HP mininote is around the 1 year warranty price. How will I willing to pay $500 just to fix my LCD cables! More over, I checked online and the extended 1 year of hardware warranty is just $200++. With accident plan cover, also cost about $400++!!! Why they charged me extra? Do you think is it worth repairing the LCD of 1 year old laptop by paying $500? Or I should just use the laptop and pray that I can turn on the LCD on the 1st attempt?

Solar Eclipse vs share market

Tomorrow people in China, India and Japan will have the opportunity to experience full solar eclipse at 9.38am morning. The whole incident will just occur in 6 minutes.

Chinese belief that solar eclipse is not a good sign. In ancient, they proclaim this as the "heaven's dog ate the Sun" and the gods are in anger. In Feng Shui, the "Yang" is symbolic as energy to everything living in the earth. During this short period of interruption, energy will lost and turn into sudden "Yin". Something bad or evil will happen during the eclipse or after the eclispe.

So, i do feel comfortable for tomorrow share market as well. (I'm quite superstitous too :P)
I do not think that tomorrow market, especially Asia market will perform in green. From superstitious point of view - market will turn direction and wind course will change (hope is momentary). From analysis point of view, the bull has rally a few days, running bull will get tired and it need rest too. (What an excuse!)

China government just announce that those who buy more then 2 properties will be taxed. This news came after the market close. Will you think tomorrow property index will go up as this news came out after the market close? Regardless if US market still close in green, China Shang Hai index have been showing some fatigue sign lately and China government tax on property will further sunken the share market.

A lot of Singapore property companies do invest in China. Directly or indirectly, they'll be some impact to them. So lets watch tomorrow.

P.S. Statements all above are just base on my own perspective. I might not be right. Do not take any losses account on and I shall not take any responsibility on that too. You know, I ain't no god :P

Thumbs up for Tim Harford

Recently, I've just finished both books written by Tim Harford.
1st book is The Undercover Economics, revealing the real side of how economy works.
2nd book is The Logic of Life, unveiling how people thinking can influence the economy.

The author seems like a good friend to those freakanomics authors. Keep introducing this book. :D
Hence, i'm reading this book now.
